About the Role
You will own and evolve DevOps and platform practices while leading a team of DevOps engineers and remaining hands-on technically. You will guide Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, automation, reliability, security, GitOps, progressive delivery, AI gateway architecture, and compliance initiatives across multi-region environments.
Requirements
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Strong Kubernetes experience including cluster lifecycle management, API extensions, Operators, and Helm
- Experience operating multi-cluster, multi-region Kubernetes platforms
- Experience with Terraform on AWS or GCP
- Experience implementing GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD or FluxCD
- Experience building containerized, serverless, or event-driven systems
- Experience with Vault-based secret management and least-privilege access
- Experience designing CI/CD workflows with SAST, DAST, policy enforcement, and performance telemetry
- Experience improving reliability through SLOs, error budgets, and chaos engineering
- Programming experience in Go, Python, or TypeScript
Responsibilities
- Own the DevOps and platform roadmap
- Lead, engineer, review, and enhance Kubernetes and CNCF-aligned infrastructure
- Architect multi-cluster, multi-region environments
- Build progressive delivery frameworks with Flux and Flagger
- Implement Kubernetes-native cloud provisioning with Crossplane and ACK
- Define and enforce Zero Trust architecture
- Engineer policy-driven automation and compliance
- Establish Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps standards
- Prototype agentic infrastructure components
- Design AI gateways and registries for microservices and autonomous agents
- Champion DevSecOps maturity through security testing, chaos engineering, and error budget monitoring
- Collaborate with Security, Data, and AI teams on platform architectures
