About the Role
You will conduct KYC and customer due diligence for new and existing customers, review transactions and third parties, assess customer risk, and investigate screening alerts. You will support enhanced due diligence, source-of-wealth verification, AML compliance projects, and other operational compliance work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, or equivalent preferred
- Diploma in Law candidates considered
- Preferably 2 years of compliance experience in the finance industry
- Recognised AML certification such as ACAMS or ICA preferred
- Understanding of or experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain, traditional finance, or capital markets trading
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Perform KYC and customer due diligence for new and existing customers
- Review customer transactions during periodic reviews
- Conduct due diligence on third-party vendors and counterparties
- Assess customer risk and allocate risk scores
- Perform screening and clear screening alerts
- Escalate risk alerts for review
- Support enhanced due diligence and risk controls
- Review and verify source-of-wealth and source-of-funds information
- Participate in AML compliance projects
