About the Role
You will lead and develop a team across investor regulatory operations, payment operations, and investor services. You will set the direction for the function while remaining hands-on with complex MiFID II procedures and sensitive investor escalations. You will design and own audit-ready first-line controls, translate regulatory requirements into practical workflows, and work with Compliance on regulatory changes. You will also govern AI-augmented onboarding and servicing workflows, oversee KYC and fund-administration vendors, maintain investor-data governance, and improve commercial handoffs and CRM data quality.
Requirements
- Experience building or scaling a small operations team in a regulated environment.
- Experience building and scaling a reactive servicing or support function, including service-level agreements, quality programs, capacity models, escalation paths, and coverage strategies.
- Operational experience in regulatory onboarding, KYC, AML, suitability, capital-call processing, distribution processing, or investor servicing at scale.
- Hands-on familiarity with MiFID II professional classification and German and Luxembourgish regulatory requirements, including GwG, BaFin, and CSSF.
- Experience designing or running a first-line controls framework and distinguishing between first- and second-line controls.
- Hands-on experience deploying automation, AI, or agentic workflows in a regulated context.
- Vendor-management experience with KYC providers or fund administrators through service-level agreements and governance.
- Experience handling sophisticated client escalations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team across investor regulatory operations, payment operations, and investor services.
- Design and own the first-line controls framework.
- Execute and standardize regulated processes, including KYC, AML, and client professional classification.
- Partner with AI and R&D to design and govern AI-augmented onboarding and servicing workflows.
- Oversee KYC providers and fund administrators through service-level agreements and governance.
- Maintain custodianship of the golden source of investor data.
- Own selling-versus-servicing handoffs, reactivation triggers, and CRM data quality.
- Represent investor insights in senior forums to inform product and commercial decisions.
