About the Role

You will support business development, transaction execution, and the delivery of investment banking products and services. You will perform financial and valuation analyses, build financial models, conduct research and due diligence, prepare presentations and marketing materials, participate in client meetings, and mentor junior analysts and interns. You will also support client relationship development, identify transaction issues, improve processes, and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior investment banking experience.
  • At least 1 year of investment banking experience covering technology or software, or private equity equivalent.
  • SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 acquired within 150 days of employment.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
  • Understanding of accounting and finance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Approximately 5% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial and valuation analyses for debt and equity in mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions.
  • Build financial models and apply comparable-company, precedent-transaction, and discounted-cash-flow valuation methods.
  • Conduct due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions.
  • Identify transaction issues and escalate concerns to team members.
  • Draft management presentations, client proposals, and marketing materials.
  • Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
  • Research industries and sectors and improve BIC content.
  • Streamline processes and propose efficiency improvements.
  • Support client relationship development and anticipate client information needs.
  • Develop understanding of macroeconomic factors affecting client industries and investment banking products.
  • Mentor summer interns and junior analysts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
