About the Role
You will support technology investment banking activities from business development through transaction execution. You will perform valuation and financial analyses, build advanced models, lead due diligence, develop client proposals and presentations, participate in client meetings, and mentor Analysts. You will maintain compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior investment banking experience
- 2+ years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst strongly preferred
- At least 1 year of investment banking experience covering technology or software, or private equity equivalent
- Financial analysis
- Mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills
- Accounting and finance knowledge
- Leadership and coaching skills
- SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 acquired within 150 days of employment
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions
- Build advanced financial models to value clients and industries
- Lead due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions
- Develop presentations, test hypotheses, and communicate financial analysis and research results
- Develop and deliver proposals and presentations to clients and prospects
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions
- Research industries and sectors, monitor industry drivers, and provide business-trend insights
- Identify process improvements and propose efficient solutions
- Manage client relationships and communicate with finance and accounting staff
- Mentor Analysts and improve Analyst and summer intern work product
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
