About the Role
You will provide electrical, instrumentation, and controls support for laboratory systems. You will create CAD assemblies and drawings, produce procurement documentation, wire and integrate control hardware, maintain revision-controlled records, and incorporate engineering design changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent lab experience in a relevant field
- Instrumentation and controls experience
- Experience with low-voltage wiring and controls enclosure fabrication
- Experience wiring and integrating MFCs, pressure transducers, solenoid valves, and thermocouples
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, schematic redlining, and building to print
- Experience selecting electrical supplies, wire, cable, and enclosure components
- Experience using multimeters, volt meters, and current-measuring devices
- Experience with LOTO safety practices
- Experience with EtherCAT, RS-232, RS-485, or Modbus
- Documentation and protocol-following skills
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical, instrumentation, and controls technician support
- Build electrical CAD assemblies, enclosures, and instrumentation hardware
- Perform interference checks, fit studies, and assembly verification
- Produce 2D engineering drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Generate bills of materials, drawing packages, cut sheets, and RFQ documentation
- Perform calculations for dimensioning, fitment, and material selection
- Interpret electrical drawings and technical information
- Maintain documentation, BOMs, drawing archives, and revision control
- Incorporate engineering redlines and design changes
- Wire digital and analog I/O devices, instrumentation, and controls fieldbuses
