About the Role

You will own mechanical test-fixture development from concept through CAD, fabrication, assembly, test-cell installation, and iteration. You will create complete design packages, work with fabrication teams and vendors, resolve manufacturability issues, and improve fixtures using lab test feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• 2–4 years of experience designing mechanical test fixtures, assembly fixtures, tooling, or similar custom hardware
• Strong 3D CAD and 2D engineering drawing skills
• Experience designing parts and assemblies for machining, fabrication, or rapid prototyping
• Experience working with internal machine shops or external manufacturing vendors
• Practical understanding of mechanical testing, load paths, fixturing, interfaces, and safe test setup

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production-ready mechanical test fixtures for validation and reliability testing
• Develop robust fixture designs with required strength, stiffness, accuracy, repeatability, and safety
• Create complete fixture design packages including 3D CAD, 2D drawings, materials, tolerances, interfaces, and assembly requirements
• Coordinate manufacturing handoff with internal fabrication teams and external vendors
• Assemble, install, test, and iterate fixtures in the lab
