About the Role
You will own mechanical systems from concept through validation. You will design structures, mechanisms, and electromechanical integrations; perform engineering analysis; select parts and materials; build and test prototypes; and collaborate with research, electrical, and software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience designing and shipping electromechanical hardware
- Mechanism design experience
- Experience designing large-scale structures
- CAD proficiency, including OnShape
- Rapid prototyping and hands-on fabrication experience
- R&D environment experience
- Creative problem-solving and analytical skills
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration experience
Responsibilities
- Own mechanical systems end to end, including structures, mechanisms, and electromechanical integration
- Design large-scale structures, frames, weldments, enclosures, and support systems
- Design linkages, motion stages, and actuation systems
- Integrate transducers, electronics, cabling, and thermal management
- Perform tolerance, structural, FEA, and kinematic analyses
- Build, prototype, test, and validate designs
- Select parts and materials for system-level integration
- Drive projects from concept through validation
