About the Role
Drive and expand the Japan OTC trading business through commercial development, relationship management, counterparty onboarding, trading operations, sales trading execution, and business support across Japan's ETF and digital assets landscape.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant financial markets experience, preferably in sales trading, middle office, or ETF-related roles.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese.
- Strong understanding of ETFs, market structure, liquidity dynamics, and trading mechanisms.
- Basic knowledge of digital assets and their market structure preferred.
- Experience operating within Japanese financial markets and understanding local practices and client expectations.
- Strong operational capabilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with Japanese business customs.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with institutional counterparties, ETF issuers, and exchanges.
- Ability to facilitate onboarding of new counterparties in Japan.
- Strong collaboration skills with trading, risk, and middle-office teams.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg Terminal.
Responsibilities
- Drive and expand the Japan OTC trading business, including commercial development.
- Manage relationships and coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee counterparty onboarding, connectivity setup, pre- and post-trade processes, OMS account management, and sales trading execution.
- Manage and structure commercial arrangements and act as a liaison between internal and external teams.
- Manage relationships with institutional investors, ETF issuers, exchanges, trading venues, and digital asset counterparties in Japan.
- Provide administrative and business support, including marketing initiatives, events, client meetings, and business documentation.
- Identify and support business growth opportunities across the ETF and digital assets landscape in Japan.
