About the Role
You will deploy, configure, monitor, patch, and troubleshoot HPC-scale Linux services. You will build Kubernetes platforms and CI/CD workflows, develop internal tools, manage identity and access services, operate virtual resources, automate processes, lead small projects, and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field and at least five years of Linux systems and Kubernetes platform administration experience, or a master’s degree and at least four years of experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOE clearance
- Pass pre-placement and ongoing random drug testing
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage HPC-scale Linux services
- Patch, update, back up, and monitor systems
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues
- Build and maintain internal Kubernetes platforms and tools
- Design automated workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Document and support self-service platform services
- Develop and review internal-tool code
- Deploy and support LDAP and PingFederate identity services
- Maintain secure access for users and automated workloads
- Manage VMware resources
- Automate processes and define automation policies
- Lead small infrastructure projects
- Mentor and train junior staff
- Implement infrastructure-system and process improvements
