About the Role
You oversee the full portfolio of HPC infrastructure projects, prioritize work, report progress and risks to leadership, manage contractors and vendors, support data center lease evaluations, and coordinate the implementation of compute, storage, and network infrastructure. You also use AI tools for planning, reporting, analysis, and operational workflows.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing infrastructure projects in HPC or large-scale data center environments
- Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects and prioritizing effectively
- Experience managing contractors and vendors
- Strong understanding of data center operations including space planning, power, cooling, and structured cabling
- Familiarity with HPC compute, storage, InfiniBand, and Ethernet networking
- Experience with project planning tools and infrastructure deployment methodologies
- Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Linux command-line, system administration, and troubleshooting experience
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full portfolio of HPC infrastructure projects
- Prioritize infrastructure projects based on business impact, resource availability, and technical dependencies
- Plan and execute infrastructure projects including scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination
- Provide project reporting and status updates to leadership
- Manage contractor relationships, contract negotiations, schedules, and performance
- Work with IT vendors to resolve implementation and operational issues
- Assist with data center lease evaluations
- Oversee the implementation of compute, storage, and network infrastructure
- Use AI tools to improve project planning, reporting, analysis, and operational workflows
