About the Role
You will design, implement, and automate security controls and assessments for HPC infrastructure. You will lead security reviews, develop secure software delivery guardrails, investigate security events, coordinate vulnerability remediation, document standards and decisions, and participate in a 24/7 incident-response rotation.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy clearance
- Pass a pre-placement drug test and participate in an ongoing random drug testing program
Responsibilities
- Translate complex technical concepts for scientific, operations, project, and management staff
- Shape the supercomputing security architecture and lead security reviews
- Design, implement, and automate policy and control assessments
- Engineer secure software development frameworks, tools, and guardrails
- Define and implement security best practices, standards, and technical baselines
- Analyze, triage, and respond to application, system, and network security events
- Serve as a security liaison for projects and external partners
- Interpret cybersecurity requirements and lead policy and standards improvements
- Lead vulnerability management, remediation coordination, patch planning, verification, and approved penetration testing
- Document cybersecurity procedures, standards, controls, and decision records
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call incident-response rotation
