About the Role
You will complete a four-year apprenticeship combining on-the-job, classroom, and self-study training. You will work with a crew to install, construct, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in high-voltage switchyards, substations, communication facilities, and power operations centers.
Requirements
- Be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Demonstrate aptitude and interest in pursuing and completing a four-year electrical apprenticeship program.
- Pass a background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain Defensive Drivers certification and a valid state driver's license.
- Obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License within 120 days of employment.
- Wear required personal protective equipment and arc-rated protective clothing.
- Pass pre-appointment and annual physical examinations.
- Be able to climb structures averaging 65 feet in height.
- Meet the stated climbing weight limits.
- Be available for overtime, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Be able to work in inclement weather and hazardous conditions.
Responsibilities

- Work in switchyards, substations, communication facilities, and power operations centers.
- Work as a member of a crew.
- Travel overnight for assigned work.
