About the Role
You will lead the trading desk and ensure reliable institutional execution across digital-asset spot and derivatives markets. You will own pricing, risk, P&L, trading systems, counterparties, and strategy; represent the function to clients; and develop traders while partnering with internal control, sales, product, and technology functions.
Requirements
- Proven trading-desk leadership or senior desk experience with direct people responsibility in a regulated financial institution.
- Experience in electronic trading and OTC flow trading in regulated financial markets.
- Hands-on experience configuring order or execution management systems and pricing and execution parameters.
- Fluency in derivatives greeks, margin, basis, and funding.
- Ability to build and retain institutional client relationships at decision-maker level.
- Ability to meet FINMA fit-and-proper standards with a clean regulatory and background record.
- Full professional English proficiency.
- Willingness to relocate to Switzerland and work from the Zurich office.
- OTC derivatives trading experience in FX, digital assets, or related products.
- Knowledge of digital-asset market structure, perpetuals, funding, basis, trading venues, and stablecoin settlement.
- Options market making, structuring, or volatility trading experience.
- Experience institutionalizing an entrepreneurial trading desk.
- P&L ownership of a trading product or service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the trading desk and traders.
- Own pricing, P&L, platform roadmap, and client experience.
- Tune order and execution management system pricing and hedging logic.
- Own market risk, inventory, hedging, limits, and escalation.
- Select, onboard, negotiate with, and manage counterparties.
- Optimize cash, collateral, and margin across trading venues.
- Represent the trading function to institutional clients and partners.
- Advise Sales and Product on pricing and product design.
- Define and execute trading strategy, products, venues, order types, and connectivity.
- Develop traders and manage performance and succession planning.
- Partner with senior management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Product.
- Maintain market knowledge across derivatives and digital-asset markets.
