About the Role
You will assess new market categories, product surfaces, and features for regulatory exposure before launch. You will translate legal and compliance constraints into actionable product requirements, advise on the product roadmap, and work with product managers and engineers throughout design. You will build internal legal frameworks, monitor relevant regulatory developments, and make and document timely decisions on novel legal risks.
Requirements
- JD required
- 8 or more years of experience at the intersection of legal and product
- Experience working in-house at a technology or crypto company or in a regulatory advisory role embedded with a product team
- Knowledge of regulatory thinking and scrutiny
- Prior work in crypto
- Strong product instincts and understanding of consumer-product user flows and tradeoffs
Responsibilities
- Review new market categories and product features for regulatory exposure before launch
- Translate legal and compliance constraints into actionable product requirements
- Contribute to the product roadmap by identifying regulatory risk and prioritization considerations
- Embed legal thinking into the product design process with product managers and engineers
- Build internal frameworks and guidelines for common legal questions
- Monitor crypto, derivatives, and prediction-market regulation
- Make and document well-reasoned decisions on novel legal risk
