About the Role
You will own and operate the marketing and communications function, translating high-level direction into clear quarterly priorities, plans, and deliverables. You will shape and maintain the public narrative and positioning, draft and refine messaging, and ensure consistent, high-quality communication across channels. You will run PR strategy and media outreach, prepare press materials and spokesperson briefings, and align events and public appearances with marketing objectives. You will lead and mentor senior marketing contributors, work hands-on on key content and messaging outputs, and define which community activities should amplify marketing priorities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or PR with ownership of strategy and execution
- Fluent in English (B2+)
- Proven experience as a senior individual contributor or lead in a lean environment
- Strong understanding of narrative development, positioning, and public communication
- Demonstrated ability to translate high-level direction into priorities, plans, and deliverables
- Experience mentoring or guiding senior marketing contributors
- Ability to work with cross-functional and distributed teams, including volunteers or community contributors
- Alignment with or strong motivation to work in Bitcoin, privacy, and sovereignty spaces
- Experience with PR, media outreach, or spokesperson preparation is a plus
- Familiarity with open-source environments and cooperation with volunteers is an advantage
- Experience working with creators (video, design, editorial) is welcome
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the marketing and communications strategy

- Shape and draft content and messaging
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across channels
- Maintain narrative coherence across content, PR, events, and community
- Define and enforce quality standards for public-facing outputs
- Lead and mentor senior marketing contributors
- Work hands-on on key outputs, including content drafts and messaging
- Provide continuous mentorship in strategy, storytelling, content, and PR
- Own PR strategy including media targets, podcasts, and conference positioning
- Oversee preparation of press materials and spokesperson briefings
- Align events and public appearances with marketing objectives
- Define and coordinate community activities that support marketing priorities
