About the Role
You will lead LP capital raising for the credit fund. You will activate and grow relationships with family offices, credit and alternatives allocators, funds of funds, and institutions; guide investors from initial contact through diligence and commitment; maintain disciplined CRM reporting; improve fundraising materials and messaging; coordinate diligence requests; and support fund setup and other investment-product fundraising.
Requirements
- 7+ years in investor relations, placement, private funds, investment banking, private credit, venture capital, private equity, family office, or institutional fundraising
- An established and referenceable network of LP relationships
- A track record of raising institutional capital
- Understanding of LP fundraising mechanics, fund materials, diligence processes, investor segmentation, and the private fund lifecycle
- Direct private credit or first-time fund-raising experience preferred
- Excellent business English
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets, CRM, tracking, reporting, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple investor conversations
- Ability to engage principals, investment committees, and senior allocators
- Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive fund and investor information
- A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field preferred
- CFA, CAIA, or relevant securities licenses favorably viewed
Responsibilities
- Activate existing LP relationships and originate new relationships
- Engage principals, decision-makers, and investment committees
- Source and qualify investors through conferences, databases, introductions, company contacts, and research
- Steward investor relationships through diligence, negotiation, commitment, and post-close engagement
- Drive follow-through from first contact through closed commitment
- Prepare and send investor outreach and follow-ups
- Record meeting notes, next steps, and commitment tracking
- Maintain CRM pipeline status, activity, outcomes, blockers, priorities, conversion rates, and stage aging
- Report fund progress to leadership
- Improve pitch decks, FAQs, data rooms, and meeting talking points
- Refine fund messaging, objection handling, and investor segmentation
- Write investor emails, follow-ups, and presentation language
- Coordinate LP diligence requests
- Support data room preparation, reporting readiness, and document management
- Synthesize investor feedback on fund terms, structure, risk-return profile, reporting, and allocations
- Support fundraising for other investment products
