About the Role
You will define and lead the developer relations strategy across technical content, community, events, partnerships, and social channels. You will create tutorials, demos, documentation, and case studies; represent Factory in developer communities and events; build feedback loops; and measure developer adoption and engagement.
Requirements
- Significant experience in developer relations, developer education, product management, software engineering, or technical leadership
- Deep technical credibility in building, demonstrating, and explaining modern software development workflows
- Respected developer-community presence and a track record of trusted technical content
- Experience building and scaling developer communities, programs, or ecosystems
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development, coding agents, developer tools, open source, and emerging engineering practices
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling narratives
- Exceptional written, verbal, on-camera, and public-speaking skills
- Product instincts and experience working with Engineering and Product teams
- Metrics-driven approach to developer adoption and community investment
Responsibilities
- Define and lead developer relations strategy across technical content, community, events, partnerships, and social channels
- Represent Factory through social channels, conferences, podcasts, livestreams, and developer communities
- Build tutorials, demos, sample applications, reference implementations, documentation, and case studies
- Show developers how Droids improve software development workflows
- Build a self-sustaining developer community
- Develop relationships with developers, open-source maintainers, AI companies, research groups, and technology partners
- Design and execute workshops, meetups, hackathons, launch programs, and conference activations
- Establish feedback loops between developers and Product and Engineering teams
- Monitor AI, developer-tool, and software-engineering trends
- Advocate for developer-first product, documentation, onboarding, and developer-experience decisions
- Define and report developer adoption, engagement, content, community, and product-feedback metrics
