About the Role
Lead Plaid's newly forming Detection and Response team, covering detection infrastructure, AI-driven triage, investigation tooling, Red Teaming, and Fraud Operations.
Requirements
- 8-14 years of detection and response or security engineering experience.
- Strong security or detection engineering background, including SIEM, EDR, and SOC operations.
- Experience managing security analysts and engineers.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive security maturity through influence.
- High-empathy communication skills for representing technical work to senior leadership.
- AI-first skillset applicable to security operations.
- Fintech or high-technology experience is preferred.
- Fraud investigation or software engineering background is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Form and establish the Detection and Response team and define its culture and operational standards.
- Lead incident response operations and evaluate detection and response program effectiveness.
- Manage and mentor analysts and engineers responsible for detection infrastructure, AI-driven triage, and investigation tooling.
- Oversee Fraud Operations and Red Team activities.
- Partner with the CISO, CTO, COO, and engineering leaders on security risks and maturity.
- Define and track program effectiveness metrics.
