About the Role
You will own the capability roadmap, lead and hire robot learning engineers, and deliver reliable locomanipulation capabilities on real robots. You will train and debug policies, curate data, define evaluations, drive sim-to-real transfer, and coordinate control, hardware, simulation, and base-model requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of robotics experience
- Experience deploying learned manipulation or locomanipulation policies on real hardware
- Experience leading and managing a team of 5+ robot learning engineers
- Experience post-training VLA-class policies with behavior cloning or reinforcement learning
- Knowledge of teleoperation and low-level control stacks
- Deep learning infrastructure experience
- PyTorch or JAX
- Software engineering practices
- Experimental documentation
Responsibilities
- Own the capability roadmap and define evaluations
- Hire, develop, and manage robot learning engineers
- Train and debug robot learning policies
- Co-own the policy and controls interface
- Specify and supervise data collection
- Drive sim-to-real transfer for bipedal tasks
- Shape base model development requirements
- Inform future hardware design
- Report capability progress, evaluation results, and failure analysis
