About the Role
You will provide on-site support for production and assembly, clarify mechanical drawings and specifications, and resolve build issues. You will lead failure analysis, drive design revisions, coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers, issue engineering change notices, and support test-rig alignment, peripheral mounting, and wire routing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive, Aerospace, or a related field
- At least 3 years of hands-on manufacturing, prototyping, or small-batch hardware-production experience
- Strong CAD proficiency and expertise interpreting, modifying, and releasing mechanical engineering drawings
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Experience communicating with suppliers and managing engineering change processes
- Knowledge of assembly support, shop-floor troubleshooting, and component localization
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for production and assembly lines
- Clarify mechanical drawings, geometric tolerances, torque specifications, and assembly sequences
- Lead root-cause analysis for mechanical failures, structural defects, and assembly bottlenecks
- Drive design revisions and process improvements
- Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers on drawing requirements and manufacturing feasibility
- Issue engineering change notices
- Assist with mechanical setup and structural alignment for test rigs and fixtures
- Support mounting and wire-harness routing for sensors and hardware components
