About the Role
You will design, implement, test, and maintain embedded and system firmware. You will own defined firmware features from requirements through validation and documentation, develop automated tests, support continuous integration and delivery, conduct experiments, perform hardware bring-up, investigate root causes, implement verified fixes, and document technical work.
Requirements
- Recently completed or expected bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in C or C++ and working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
- Understanding of computer architecture, embedded systems, firmware, and low-level software.
- Familiarity with Linux, command-line development tools, and version-control systems.
- Experience applying structured debugging methods.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and deliver reliable results.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain system and embedded firmware.
- Own firmware features from requirements through implementation, validation, and documentation.
- Develop and debug firmware in a Linux environment.
- Create automated tests and scripts for firmware validation.
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery workflows.
- Conduct engineering experiments and analyze test data.
- Support lab setup, system configuration, hardware bring-up, and firmware validation.
- Investigate hardware-software interactions, identify root causes, and implement verified fixes.
- Write design notes, test procedures, change descriptions, and technical findings.
- Contribute to code and design reviews.
