About the Role

You will manage end-to-end global equity settlement, investigate exceptions and reconciliation breaks, maintain regulatory controls and records, produce operational reporting, and improve workflows with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of brokerage operations experience focused on global equity settlements
  • Understanding of securities settlement lifecycles
  • Experience with third-party clearing firms and global custodians
  • Knowledge of U.S. broker-dealer operations and financial industry regulations
  • Familiarity with global custody settlement platforms
  • Knowledge of SWIFT MT54x messaging, Euroclear, DTCC, and international settlement practices
  • Experience settling securities across global markets
  • Expertise in cash and position reconciliations across currencies and markets
  • Experience investigating trade mismatches
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Metabase, or similar reporting tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Securities Industry Essentials Exam and Series 99 license or ability to obtain Series 99 within 180 days

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end global equity settlement processes
  • Record transactions accurately across internal and external systems
  • Monitor settlement activity and identify transactions at risk of failing
  • Investigate and resolve settlement exceptions, trade discrepancies, and failing transactions
  • Review buy-ins, settlement penalties, and aged fails
  • Monitor trade matching through SWIFT and settlement platforms
  • Perform daily securities-position and cash-balance reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Produce operational reporting and root-cause analyses
  • Improve operational processes and documentation
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to automate workflows
  • Support cross-functional post-trade processing
