About the Role

You will investigate complex cases involving phishing, blockchain exploits, hacks, terrorism finance, account takeovers, money laundering, SIM swaps, ransomware, and other illicit blockchain activity. You will perform time-sensitive blockchain analysis, produce written reports and oral briefings, conduct long-term research into crime typologies, and build attribution sources by engaging industry partners. You will coordinate across time zones, participate in a weekly on-call rotation to respond to high-priority events, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with virtual currencies and blockchain analysis is a plus; excitement to learn about these topics is essential
  • Experience as an investigator or analyst, preferably 3-5 years combined experience
  • Experience briefing senior leaders
  • Ability to structure problems and identify critical priorities
  • Exceptional and consistent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and with people at all levels
  • Commitment to supporting teammates
  • Minimum of a Public Trust Clearance is required

  • Investigate complex cases involving phishing, blockchain exploits, hacks, terrorism finance, account takeovers, money laundering, SIM swaps, and ransomware
  • Produce insightful written reports and deliver briefings to customers and senior leaders
  • Conduct long-term research on blockchain crime and turn findings into actionable intelligence
  • Perform sensitive and complex investigations for partners
  • Build and manage relationships with industry partners to add attribution sources
  • Coordinate across global time zones to ensure seamless handoffs and coverage
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation and respond to high-priority events including weekends as needed
