About the Role
You will investigate high-impact funding opportunities, conduct literature reviews, and evaluate interventions and organisations. You will develop quantitative models, write clear recommendations and reports, and present research to donors. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to help fund promising opportunities, including direct interventions and research.
Requirements
- Domain expertise in development economics, public health, cost-effectiveness analysis, or a transferable field.
- Ability to work with systematic quantitative frameworks and build quantitative models.
- Clear writing skills for nuanced evidence and complex concepts.
- Open-ended research skills, including identifying academic research, reports, experts, and funding opportunities.
- Good calibration and judgement.
- Ability to lead independent research.
- Ability to work effectively with others and respond to feedback.
- Comfort working in a high-growth, dynamic start-up environment with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research investigations and literature reviews.
- Investigate promising funding opportunities and assess them for recommendation.
- Produce reports and other internal or external materials on funding opportunities.
- Conduct rigorous evaluations and make multimillion-dollar grant recommendations.
- Identify novel interventions and new cause areas for active grantmaking.
- Present research findings and answer detailed donor questions.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to fund recommended opportunities.
