About the Role

You will investigate suspected fraud involving banking products, accounts, transactions, and payment methods. You will analyze records for irregularities, contact customers and third parties to gather evidence, collaborate on escalated cases, apply FCRA requirements, and communicate resolutions clearly and promptly.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in fraud investigation, financial analysis, or a related role
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of fraud operations, regulations, and prevention techniques
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Preferred: Certified Fraud Examiner credential or related credential
• Preferred: AML knowledge

Responsibilities

• Investigate and mitigate bank and credit card fraud
• Analyze suspicious activity across payment rails
• Review identity theft, account takeover, wire transfer, payment, and check fraud
• Analyze financial data, account history, and transaction records
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operations on fraud cases
• Contact customers, merchants, and third parties to conduct interviews and gather evidence
• Apply FCRA requirements to fraud findings and reporting
• Maintain knowledge of fraud typologies, regulations, and prevention practices
• Ensure investigations comply with regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements
• Communicate timely and compliant resolutions to customers
