About the Role
You will build and lead a Forward Deployed Engineering team while remaining hands-on. You will work directly with customers, design and ship technical solutions, guide projects from architecture through iteration, set engineering standards, and translate deployment insights into platform improvements and product strategy.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience across software engineering, technical architecture, and customer-facing engineering
- Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams
- Track record of remaining hands-on while leading
- Strong full-stack frontend and backend engineering fundamentals
- Strong architectural thinking
- Familiarity with distributed systems
- Experience owning complex technical engagements end-to-end
- Exceptional product intuition
- Ability to work with users and senior customer stakeholders
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, high-velocity environments
- Experience with agentic AI systems or production LLMs is advantageous
- Experience building teams or technical functions from zero is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, and lead Forward Deployed Engineers
- Work directly with customers to understand workflows and technical problems
- Design, prototype, and implement customer solutions
- Guide projects from ideation through architecture, shipping, and iteration
- Set technical standards through architecture decisions and code reviews
- Translate customer deployment insights into platform improvements
- Shape standards, playbooks, and operating practices
- Contribute to product strategy and technical decisions
