Required and preferred rules are kept separate and reflect the wording in the original posting.
About the Role
You will conduct flow-induced-vibration tests under different configurations, measure turbulent flow and structural vibration, and analyze experimental results. You will use numerical post-processing to characterize fluid-structure coupling and may conduct a literature review or prepare scientific publications based on the results.
Requirements
- Pursue a master's-level engineering degree or equivalent with a specialization in mechanics, energy, or fluid mechanics
- Have knowledge of fluid-flow physics, structural vibration, or fluid-structure coupling
- Have Python and Matlab programming skills for data post-processing
- Demonstrate operational English proficiency
Responsibilities
- Conduct flow-induced-vibration tests for different configurations
- Measure flow using laser velocimetry
- Measure structural vibration using high-speed cameras and displacement sensors
- Analyze test results using Matlab and Python
- Extract fluid-structure coupling information from measured signals
- Conduct a literature review of similar experiments
- Prepare scientific publications when results permit
