About the Role
You will monitor prediction markets and perpetual futures, including market events, trader conversations, volumes, open interest, funding rates, market share, venues, and competitors. You will research user needs and protocols, build dashboards and datasets, size opportunities with market and on-chain data, and develop product ideas. You will write reports, present recommendations, evaluate launched initiatives, and establish a repeatable research process.
Requirements
- Have experience as an analyst at a crypto research firm or in a research or data role at a perpetual futures exchange or prediction market
- Understand prediction market and perpetual futures market structure
- Be active in trader communities including X, Discord, and Telegram
- Use data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and Dune
- Demonstrate strong research writing that drives decisions
- Own a research agenda independently
Responsibilities
- Track news, launches, and structural shifts across prediction markets and perpetual futures
- Monitor trader conversations and sentiment across X, Discord, Telegram, and other communities
- Follow volumes, open interest, funding rates, and market share across major venues
- Connect market events to their impact and share timely takeaways
- Maintain a view of competing oracles and data providers
- Research protocols and how they use price data
- Map user needs and gaps in current solutions
- Build market dashboards and datasets
- Turn research findings into product ideas
- Size opportunities using market and on-chain data
- Work with product, engineering, and business development to prioritize and pressure-test ideas
- Track launched initiatives against their original thesis
- Write research reports for internal and external audiences
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership
- Build a repeatable research process
