About the Role
You will work at manufacturing partner facilities in China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. You will lead board bring-up, develop C/C++ diagnostic firmware, deploy functional-test fixtures, debug manufacturing defects, and connect US engineering teams with JDM partner engineers.
Requirements
- Must be based in China or willing to relocate
- Ability to travel frequently to manufacturing hubs in Asia, including Taiwan and Vietnam
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- C/C++ proficiency for embedded systems
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and component datasheets
- Factory-floor experience with JDMs, CMs, or ODMs during NPI
- Experience debugging CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART
Responsibilities
- Lead board bring-up at JDM partner sites
- Write C/C++ diagnostic and test firmware
- Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain functional-test fixtures
- Root-cause system-level manufacturing defects using diagnostic tools
- Serve as a technical liaison between US engineering teams and JDM partner engineers
