About the Role
You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fire protection systems in the field. You will support installations and commissioning, coordinate with contractors and fire authorities, document corrective actions, and respond to system impairments and after-hours issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of experience installing, inspecting, testing, or servicing fire protection systems
- Willingness to work extended hours, including a six-day, 12-hour construction schedule
- Willingness to travel to the site for shifts
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and maintain fire and life safety systems and close deficiencies
- Support installation, upgrades, and commissioning through walkdowns, device checkout, punch lists, functional tests, and turnover
- Verify that systems remain operational and that impairments are logged, mitigated, and restored
- Coordinate with facilities teams, contractors, and fire authorities on inspections, permits, impairments, and certifications
- Review drawings, submittals, and test reports and flag field discrepancies
- Maintain inspection, testing, and corrective-action records
- Respond to impairments, leaks, trouble signals, and after-hours issues
