About the Role
You will monitor transactions and account activity for suspicious behaviour, investigate potential financial crime, and conduct KYC and enhanced customer due diligence reviews. You will action screening alerts and escalations, assist with suspicious matter reports, contact customers when needed, and support the Global FinCrime Operations Manager.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role with an interest in financial crime prevention.
- Understanding of KYC and ECDD processes and relevant legislation.
- Basic understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify unusual behaviour.
- Written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor transactions to detect and investigate potential financial crimes, including money laundering and fraud.
- Conduct KYC and ECDD reviews for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs.
- Review and action watchlist screening alerts in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and investigate transaction and account activity to identify and prevent suspicious activity under the AML/CTF Act.
- Assist with lodging suspicious matter reports to relevant authorities.
- Conduct outbound calls to new and existing customers during onboarding and throughout the relationship.
- Action financial-crime escalations from support and other internal stakeholders.
- Assist the Global FinCrime Operations Manager as necessary.
