About the Role
You will evaluate pricing and profitability for prospects and clients. You will develop financial models and pricing proposals, analyze repricing requests and client metrics, create alternative scenarios, present recommendations to business partners, and identify pricing and operational improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- College degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- 2 to 3 years of work or internship experience in a finance role.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, with significant emphasis on Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate with team members.
Responsibilities
- Analyze prospect and client pricing requests, including fees, competitiveness, and long-term profitability.
- Develop financial models and pricing proposals that follow business guidelines.
- Evaluate client repricing requests resulting from changes to plans, participants, product offerings, fee structures, or assumptions.
- Evaluate client metrics and challenge assumptions to ensure sufficient projected profitability and fees.
- Create alternative pricing scenarios to improve win rates, retention, risk, and profitability.
- Present pricing proposals, strategy, and positioning to business partners and pricing management.
- Prioritize requests based on timing, approvals, and client or advisor urgency.
- Raise pricing issues, trends, and operational improvement opportunities.
- Support ad hoc project work.
