About the Role
Own the company's video content strategy from ideation through final cut, creating cinematic short-form videos, commercials, and documentaries that make complex AI and distributed systems accessible and engaging.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to create viral, high-quality video content across multiple formats.
- Exceptional storytelling ability, especially with technical or complex subject matter.
- End-to-end production skills including shooting, editing, motion graphics, and color grading.
- Deep understanding of TikTok trends, YouTube optimization, and modern content platforms.
- Ability to ship weekly while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers and extract authentic technical stories.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments.
- Availability to work in person at the San Francisco office five days per week.
Responsibilities
- Produce short-form videos, commercials, and quarterly documentaries from concept through final delivery.
- Extract compelling stories from the team and technology and make complex AI and distributed systems concepts accessible.
- Ship and optimize weekly content across X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Test new formats, styles, and approaches to engage developers and tech enthusiasts.
- Define and evolve the company's visual narrative.
- Recruit and manage freelancers, editors, and production talent.
