About the Role
This role supports advanced robotic welding systems through equipment operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, system integration, data analysis, and customer collaboration. The position requires hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise and extensive travel to customer sites.
Requirements
- Technical training, trade school certification, associate degree in engineering technology, or equivalent industry experience.
- Hands-on experience designing, assembling, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, preferably manufacturing equipment.
- Welding experience is desirable, but certifications are not mandatory.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is desirable but not required.
- Familiarity with fabrication or machine shop processes.
- Comfort learning and using programming languages.
- Attention to detail when handling small and fragile components.
- Ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain multi-robotic welding systems.
- Load, monitor, and inspect welded assemblies using robotic vision systems and sensors.
- Manage inventory of parts and completed assemblies.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automation equipment and cells.
- Record and analyze data to support engineering-driven issue resolution.
- Monitor cell performance and ensure precise part fit-up.
- Integrate autonomous welding cells into customer manufacturing processes.
- Service pneumatic systems, welding equipment, robotics, and electrical automation devices.
- Operate specialized machines and learn Forge processes, including command prompts and code changes.
- Interface with customers to optimize equipment efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering resources to troubleshoot issues.
- Inspect, clean, and replace electrical and mechanical components.
- Travel extensively to customer sites, 75% or more of the time.
