About the Role
You inspect and test electrical components, subassemblies, and finished products, audit electrical assembly and wiring processes, document testing and non-conformances, verify regulatory compliance, calibrate test equipment, and travel extensively to deployed job sites.
Requirements
- Journeyman Electrician preferred
- Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years of industry experience or 7+ years in electrical assembly or inspection
- Experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical installations
- Working knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA testing specifications
- Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, HMI, MCC, and UPS
- Ability to identify electrical components, hardware, and equipment
- Ability to read, understand, and trace electrical schematics
- Basic computer skills with Word and Excel experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods
- Ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol testing
- Ability to travel up to 100% with overnight stays
- Lean manufacturing and 5S experience is a bonus
- ISO 9001 experience is a bonus
- PMP or CAPM certification is a bonus
- MRP or Accumatica ERP knowledge is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations, subassemblies, and finished goods
- Audit electrical assembly and wiring processes
- Prepare testing and commissioning reports
- Document electrical quality standards and specifications
- Verify work against approved standards and drawings
- Identify and address deviations
- Document material non-conformances
- Collaborate with safety, engineering, and manufacturing teams
- Verify compliance with codes, customer specifications, and engineering standards
- Support the electrical test equipment calibration program
- Travel to deployed-product job sites
- Support production teams at the Brighton manufacturing site
