About the Role

You will lead policy engagement in South Korea and build relationships with government officials, researchers, civil-society leaders, think tanks, and nonprofits. You will analyze legislation, prepare policy submissions and briefs, convene events, develop policy campaigns, support external engagements, and translate technical research into policy proposals and educational materials.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in government, technology, legal, or policy-relevant environments
• Advocacy experience with Korean government authorities
• Experience analyzing legislation and engaging in regulatory processes
• Experience drafting and executing policy campaigns
• Ability to translate technical topics for policymakers, civil society, and think tanks
• Ability to develop operational plans
• Fluency in Korean and English
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience

Responsibilities

• Map Korean AI policy stakeholders and build strategic relationships
• Brief policy and research stakeholders on AI safety and policy opportunities
• Convene stakeholders and speak at AI safety policy events
• Analyze legislation and develop engagement strategies
• Prepare policy submissions and response documents
• Prepare meeting briefs and follow up on external-engagement requests
• Develop programs for engagement with policymakers, think tanks, and nonprofits
• Translate research into policy proposals and stakeholder education
• Develop public submissions, RFI responses, and policy memos
• Develop and execute workshops and panels on AI safety and governance
