About the Role
You will build and operate trading strategies and help shape Belvedere Trading's international growth. As an Options Trader, you will develop and execute strategies across equity and commodity products, identify opportunities, manage risk, and collaborate with software engineers and quantitative researchers.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in options trading or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of equity market structure, pricing, and trading dynamics.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL and the ability to work with large datasets and develop models.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize complex data quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Help build out the Singapore trading presence while managing risk and capturing trading opportunities for Belvedere's core market-making desks.
- Partner with developers, quants, and other traders to enhance trading tools and algorithms.
- Participate in formal education on quantitative concepts to build trading knowledge.
- Improve strategies, processes, and tools for competitive advantage.
- Gain experience in position management and automated trading systems.
- Make independent decisions during an active marketplace.
- Research new markets, trading opportunities, and strategies.
- Act as a company ambassador for the local industry as needed.
