About the Role
You will administer and continuously improve the finance technology stack, with primary responsibility for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will manage access, configuration, master data, workflows, performance, vendor support, patches, and upgrades. You will lead ERP and finance-system implementations from requirements through go-live, develop Business Central customizations and integrations, maintain reporting and data quality, apply SOX-aligned controls, support audits, and train end users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of ERP administration experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV
- Experience with end-to-end ERP or finance-system implementation projects
- Ability to write and modify code in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central using AL, extensions, or C/AL
- Working knowledge of SOX process-level controls and system-based control design
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions
- Communication skills and ability to work across Finance, Accounting, and IT
Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including user access, security roles, permissions, master data, workflows, configuration, performance monitoring, vendor support, patches, and upgrades
- Lead and support end-to-end ERP and finance-system implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, data migration, testing, cutover, go-live support, and documentation
- Design, build, test, and deploy Business Central customizations and extensions, including custom reports, workflows, and business logic
- Manage version control and release processes for custom code
- Develop and maintain integrations between Business Central and other finance and business systems
- Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts for Finance, Accounting, and FP&A
- Monitor data quality across finance systems
- Configure segregation-of-duties and SOX-aligned controls within the ERP
- Support audit requests and serve as the main contact for IT application controls testing
- Provide finance-system support and training to end users
- Maintain standard operating procedures, job aids, and training materials
