About the Role
You will lead the architecture and development of secure web automation infrastructure that transforms unstructured web data into programmable APIs. You will guide browser automation, extension development, authentication, session management, distributed systems, technical planning, recruiting, coaching, and hands-on engineering contributions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on web automation, browser internals, extension development, or frontend-to-backend data extraction
- 5+ years of engineering management experience including management of senior and staff-level engineers
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Experience managing teams delivering production-grade browser automation, extensions, or data infrastructure
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript including DOM manipulation and modern web APIs
- Strong backend experience with Golang, Node.js, or Python
- Strong security fundamentals involving trust boundaries, authentication handshakes, and DOM-based injection risks
- Experience with distributed systems, persistent connections, and stateful multi-hop sessions
- Experience shipping Chrome MV3 extensions or mobile WebView automation is preferred
- Understanding of WebAuthn and Passkey protocols is preferred
- Experience in financial data aggregation or client-side data extraction is preferred
- Understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is preferred
Responsibilities
- Research and design secure web automation methods
- Lead development of the core automation runtime
- Guide architecture for resilient UI interactions, data entry, and session routing
- Partner with product and program managers on roadmap execution
- Capture security, authentication, and session-management requirements in technical solutions
- Drive technical roadmaps with other engineering managers
- Recruit, coach, and develop engineers
- Oversee project resiliency, scalability, and coverage
- Introduce engineering patterns and practices for operating at scale
- Contribute to the codebase and system architecture
