About the Role
You will lead engineering for identity verification, fraud controls, financial-crime monitoring, market surveillance, user protections, and investigation tools. You will partner with policy and compliance stakeholders, set technical direction, and manage senior engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years of engineering management experience
- Experience building trust and safety, integrity, fraud, risk, or surveillance systems at scale
- Experience translating compliance requirements into system design
- Data-intensive systems skills, including event streams, rules engines, and detection pipelines
- Collaboration with policy, investigations, and compliance teams
Responsibilities
- Own identity verification and KYC onboarding systems, including vendor integrations and decisioning
- Build fraud controls, payment risk checks, AML monitoring, and sanctions screening
- Build trade and market surveillance for manipulation, wash trading, spoofing, and misuse of non-public information
- Ship deposit limits, self-exclusion, and responsible trading controls
- Build case-management and investigation tooling with audit trails and records
- Hire and lead senior engineers
- Set technical direction and balance user friction against risk
