About Ethena

Ethena is a decentralized finance protocol that allows users to mint USDe, a synthetic dollar, using liquid staking tokens as collateral. The platform also offers staking of USDe to earn yield in the form of sUSDe. Ethena aims to provide a stable, high-yield asset for the crypto ecosystem, combining the stability of a dollar-pegged token with the benefits of decentralized finance.

Responsibilities

  • Write and ship production code
  • Own the system architecture across services, money paths, data, infrastructure, and settlement
  • Hire and onboard engineers
  • Develop a senior engineering team
  • Set engineering, testing, review, and correctness standards
  • Establish agentic development practices
  • Own the delivery cadence and release process
  • Manage the backlog and lead time to production
  • Establish production alerting and on-call operations
  • Create and test runbooks
  • Lead incident response
  • Set backend, API, authentication, platform, reliability, and mobile engineering standards
