About the Role
You will lead a full-stack product engineering team responsible for social features, including notifications, profiles, the follow graph, sharing, and comments. You will develop engineers, guide social-system architecture, partner on roadmap discovery, and ship retention features with metrics, logging, dogfooding, and post-launch follow-up.
Requirements
- 5–7 years in software engineering
- 2–4 years managing engineers
- Experience hiring, developing, and managing engineer performance
- Knowledge of social products and network effects
- Technical depth in architecture and code review
- Experience in ambiguous 0→1 environments
- Cross-functional communication
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineers responsible for notifications, profiles, the follow graph, and social engagement
- Hire and develop engineers and manage performance
- Set technical direction for social systems at scale
- Guide architecture for follow graphs, notifications, profiles, and mobile-first APIs
- Partner with product, design, and data science on roadmap discovery
- Ship retention features with metrics, logging, dogfooding, and post-launch follow-up
