About the Role
You will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team working on solid rocket motor design, formulation, scale-up, and production. You will set engineering strategy, allocate resources, oversee engineering deliverables and reviews, represent the organization in technical reviews, and develop personnel.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant bachelor's degree with 5+ years of propulsion engineering experience, a relevant master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or 9+ years of relevant experience
- Have 15+ years of solid rocket motor development and production experience
- Know oxidizer grinding, propellant formulation, grain design, mix-cast operations, and motor testing
- Have 5+ years leading technically complex projects in a regulated or defense environment
- Have 5+ years supervising engineering teams
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance if needed
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain state and federal explosives licenses
- Meet U.S. export-authorization eligibility requirements
