About the Role
You will lead and grow mobile design engineers while defining the technical strategy for mobile design systems. You will set production-ready frameworks and patterns across iOS, Android, and responsive web, guide architecture and code review, and partner with design, product, and engineering leaders. You will balance hands-on technical work with people management.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of engineering management experience
- Demonstrate experience building production frameworks and component systems that scale across products
- Have a deep technical background in mobile development
- Have experience with mobile-specific web APIs, native mobile development, React, React Native, PWAs, mobile design patterns, UI animations, or gesture-based interactions
- Demonstrate communication, technical leadership, mentoring, performance management, and career development skills
Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and grow a team of mobile design engineers
- Define technical vision and strategy for mobile design systems
- Establish scalable production frameworks and patterns across iOS, Android, and responsive web
- Partner with design, product, and engineering leadership to prioritize mobile initiatives
- Drive mobile-first development best practices and performance
- Oversee mobile UI architecture and conduct code reviews
- Champion accessible and responsive interfaces
- Balance hands-on technical contribution with people management
