About the Role
You will own and operate the platforms that power large-scale intelligence data products, from ingestion and processing to serving and front-end delivery. You will design and build foundational AI architectures, improve the speed of getting models and data products into production, and ensure systems run reliably 24/7. You will review architectures, debug data pipelines, make system design decisions, and hire and mentor engineers to raise technical quality and AI fluency. You will prioritize platform investments, set technical direction, and remove obstacles so data scientists and engineers can deliver high-impact intelligence to customers quickly.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on data or engineering experience with 4+ years of direct people management
- Player-coach mindset: stay close to technical work while setting team strategy
- Proven ownership of production systems at scale (customer-facing data products, APIs, or decisioning engines)
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience with BigQuery, Airflow, data lake architectures, and serving layers
- Active daily use of AI tools to accelerate development
- Strong judgment in making technical bets and investments
Responsibilities
- Own and operate a petabyte-scale data platform supporting batch processing, real-time workloads, and 24/7 APIs
- Design and build foundational AI architecture for blockchain intelligence infrastructure
- Improve speed and reduce overhead for delivering models and data products to customers
- Lead, hire, and mentor two sub-teams spanning data infrastructure through product-facing delivery
- Set technical direction and make architecture, tooling, and platform investment decisions
- Create internal platforms and workflows that accelerate data scientist productivity
- Review architectures, debug data pipelines, and make system design decisions
