About the Role

Lead a team building Adyen's Card Payments platform in NORAM, shape credit card payment strategy, guide scalable and resilient technical solutions, coach engineers, foster a high-performing culture, partner with product managers, and direct architectural decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience leading and developing software engineering teams.
  • Strong software engineering background in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with Java or similar backend technologies.
  • Experience building payment systems or working in the card payments ecosystem is desirable.
  • Experience with authorization, routing, card schemes, or issuer and acquirer integrations.

  • Author the NORAM credit card payments strategy.
  • Balance product delivery with platform scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
  • Lead and develop a diverse software engineering team.
  • Coach and mentor engineers through feedback and career development.
