About the Role
You will resolve cross-functional energy issues from unclear questions through completion. You will align energy planning with data center development and finance, prepare decision materials, build operating tools, support policy and communications work, engage regulators and industry groups, and manage external advisers.
Requirements
- 6+ years in energy policy, energy markets, or energy strategy
- Experience building coalitions among complex stakeholder groups
- Experience completing cross-functional projects
- Ability to interpret tariffs, energy services agreements, and FERC orders commercially
- Knowledge of state commission and RTO or ISO stakeholder processes
- Strong executive and external communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional energy projects through decisions, processes, or tools
- Align energy commercial planning with site selection, design, delivery, operations, and finance
- Write strategy documents, decision memos, and executive updates
- Build tools and processes for commitments, decisions, and stakeholder records
- Run planning for priorities, headcount, consultants, and open decisions
- Serve as the energy point of contact for internal functions
- Support policy, communications, and community-relations work on energy issues
- Prepare leaders for external meetings, panels, and testimony
- Represent the organization in industry groups, coalitions, and research collaborations
- Engage with regulators, agencies, legislatures, RTOs, and ISOs
- Manage outside counsel, consultants, and analysts
