About the Role
You will develop hardware for industrial robot control units from concept through production. You will create PCB designs, system architectures, documentation, specifications, and test plans; perform testing and system integration; develop factory test fixtures; support compliance testing; and help release products to manufacturing and customer deployments.
Requirements
- Business-level English
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar engineering discipline
- At least 5 years of embedded-system hardware design experience
- Proficiency with Altium or similar schematic and PCB-layout software
- Understanding of product lifecycle management and quality management
- Experience with Linux development environments
- Experience with safety- and reliability-critical design
- Understanding of hardware interfaces and protocols including SPI and I2C
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and thermal design
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
Responsibilities
- Develop PCB designs, schematics, and board layouts
- Develop system hardware architecture, requirements, and design inputs
- Document firmware, hardware, schematics, fabrication drawings, wiring, and cabling
- Develop functional specifications, verification plans, and test plans
- Perform hardware testing and system integration and assembly
- Develop factory acceptance test fixtures
- Perform technical and regulatory compliance testing
- Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments
