About the Role

You will lead the verification and characterization of high-speed electro-optic links across silicon and system programs. You will perform bench measurements, develop electrical and optical channel models, investigate signal-integrity issues, support silicon bring-up, and build automation tools for characterization.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or Physics with 8+ years of experience, or BS or MS with 10+ years of experience
• Ownership of verification strategy for a full silicon or system program
• Expertise in 56G, 112G, and 224G+ serial links, SerDes equalization, and signal integrity
• Hands-on lab experience leading complex investigations
• Python or MATLAB proficiency for automation frameworks
• Proficiency with VNA, oscilloscopes, BERTs, TDRs, ADS, HFSS, Cadence, and COMSOL
• Track record of mentoring engineers

Responsibilities

• Run hands-on lab characterization and debug of high-speed electrical and optical hardware
• Build system-level electrical, optical, and EO channel models and correlate them with bench measurements
• Own link-budget and verification methodology
• Characterize eye diagrams, BER, jitter, equalization, and channel impairments
• Support silicon bring-up and root-cause debug with analog, package, PCB, and SerDes teams
• Influence chip, package, and system architecture trade-offs based on bench findings
• Mentor Senior and Staff engineers while remaining hands-on in the lab
• Build automation tools to accelerate characterization work
